Dr. Muhammad S. Ahmed is a board-certified psychiatrist with over two decades of experience caring for adults and older adults. He specializes in mood, anxiety and psychotic disorders, dementia, and interventional psychiatry including Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Esketamine Therapy. Dr. Ahmed serves as Chairperson of the Department of Psychiatry at the American University School of Medicine (Aruba) and as Clinical Assistant Professor at the Philadelphia College of Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a member of the American Medical Association. In his free time, Dr. Ahmed enjoys spending time with family, reading, and staying current with advances in psychiatric treatment. He is currently accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
